I had such a great time taking photos of Ingrid! She needed some new headshots and portraits for her real-estate business; Multiple Realty Ltd.
It was a very very windy day, so we spent some time inside Richmond City Hall and then outside as well when the wind died down a bit. It was fun and such a pleasure to work with you Ingrid! 🙂

Joe & Mikaela’s wedding was held at the fabulous UBC Boathouse in January. There was some sunshine, clouds, rain, and snow by the end of the night! The colours red and black were prominently featured throughout the wedding; the decor and the bridal party’s ensemble especially. Everything and everyone were very well-coordinated and put together 🙂
It was so great to shoot this wedding. The ceremony was so sweet, the food was delicious, the people were all so nice, and the ceremony and reception were all in the same place! That was a first for me, I had never seen a set-up like that before – super convenient.
Thank you Joe & Mikaela. You are both amazing individuals and an even more amazing couple. You both clearly have a love for each other that will last a lifetime and I felt so lucky to have been able to capture your wedding day! May God bless you always.

Snow photos!!
The snow didn’t last for very long, but it was so perfect for ending their wedding.
This past month was full of love, a Valentine’s contest, a Valentine’s photo-shoot, engagement shoot prep, the start of my scavenger hunt contest, and my two new puppies!! 😀
The wonderful Abbye Dahl took some photos of me and my rat-a-pap puppies (rat terrier x papillon); Brodie and Gradie.

I am excited to announce that I am starting up my “Scavenger Hunt Contest” that I have been talking about for almost a year now.
My goal was to get 200 likes on my facebook page for Marie Skerl Photography (you can see it HERE).
And now that I have (YAY!) I can start giving out 50% off coupons for portrait sessions!! Who doesn’t want 50% off some lovely photos right?
Buuuut the catch is YOU have to FIND the card that entitles you to the 50% off. I know most people don’t want to leave their house or work too much for these kind of things, but trust me it’s worth it. You could get headshots for only $100, engagement shoots for only $125, maternity photos for only $125, etc. I want to give people out there who admire my work, but just don’t have quite enough cash to pay for photos a chance for some photos they can cherish at just half the price. 🙂

In honour of Valentine’s Day, I have a fun little photoshoot that I would like to share with you 🙂
My lovely assistant; Allissa Best, got all dressed up in a gorgeous soft pink vintage dress (perfect for Valentines Day) and we headed out on a very foggy and windy day to take some photos. We hauled along an antique chair of mine and some wonderful vintage binoculars and lanterns as well.

I am what you would call, ‘a beginner’ at photography. Yet I love it SO much. Right now I am saving for a nice digital camera, ‘the fancy ones’ as I call them. 🙂 I want you to know, that I LOVE your photography!!!
