I had SO much fun with Kari and Andre last night. We drove around Ladner, went strawberry picking, and dodged some angry horses (I will expand on this in a later post haha)! I have been trying not to do teasers this year, but I just put this 30 photo “brenizer method” together and had to share it! I love these two and I love this photo 🙂
Kristy & Raynar, who’s wedding I shot last August had a baby!! A cute, blonde, 6 lb baby boy named; Levi! And I had the pleasure of taking some photos of him at 9 days old 😀
This was my first newborn shoot, and I really love the shots that we got. Check them out!
Holding mom’s finger 🙂
Giggles!
I think this looks like a Michael Jackson pose 😛
Could Levi be any cuter?!
He woke up a little bit haha
Check out his room!! So awesome, right!? Well done Kristy & Raynar.

He’s so cute… I love that shot were he woke up a little bit… Seems he knows what’s going on around him. Nice shots!
I am back from my 3 week family trip to Austria & Croatia! 🙂
It took a lot longer than I thought it would to put this blog post together because I had so many photos to choose from and didn’t really know where to start, so I apologize to those who have been waiting. My family and I went to Graz, Austria mostly to visit my grossmutti (grandma) and to see family, my mom is from Graz so all her family members are there. After about 2 weeks there, we went to Croatia and stayed in a town called; Biograd. While we were in Croatia we also visited Zagreb, Krka (has amazing waterfalls), Nin, and Šibenik. After 5 days there, we went back to Graz for a couple days and then to Vienna, Austria for 4 days where we eventually caught our flight back to Vancouver (through London first). It was a pretty long trip, but it was a great experience! I improved my German a bit and am still working on it haha. And I hope to visit again! Alles Liebe an Familie und Freunde in Graz und Wien!
Graz, Austria
These were our neighbours 😛
I loved this field of buttercups.
You have probably all seen this before in my “21” blog post, but I couldn’t help posting it one more time. My brother and I bought traditional Austrian clothing haha.
Mark needed some help smiling for the camera, so we tickled him 😛
This is really cute. In the city of Graz there is this fence where couples can write their names on a lock and hang it!
With friends, we went to a buschenschank famous for their apples; Mausser Most. Below is their apple vineyard.
This is a view of Graz from the Schloßberg, which is basically a small mountain with a clock tower on it. It’s a landmark of Graz.
This is my cousin and I with grossmutti, she is suffering from Alzheimers, but she can still smile 🙂
Eggs in a basket, daisies, and lupins were just some of the many things we found at the open market in Graz.
The beautiful Noemi.
Croatia
Sveti Jakov Church.
Super cool old village.
The boats to Krka waterfalls.
A little long exposure 🙂
I did a bunch of long exposures here and on the last shot I lifted my camera up as I was taking the photo, but I think it looks pretty cool!
My new backpack and Croatian souvenirs!
There were so many of these poppies in Croatia.
I know you might be thinking, why the heck is Marie wearing jeans and sneakers to the beach on a sunny day!? Well, it was actually really windy almost the entire time we were in Croatia, so no swimming or much tanning could be done 🙁
But it was still beautiful! The water was so blue.
The building on the right is our hotel, it was designed to have the shape of a boat as we were staying right next to the marina.
I clearly have a thing for these old doors and windows, I have so many photos of them haha
A drink pronounced; “mish-mash,” a Croatian specialty made with Fanta and red wine. Delicious.
And the pizza was also delicious! Mark has to have Hawaiian pizza wherever we go haha.
Side-of-the-road cherries we bought.
You can blow really big bubbles with this gum 😛
Vienna, Austria
My dad is waving out of the apartment window we were staying at.
The worlds tallest swing ride!! Yes, I went on it. It is 383 feet high. My mom was left to take the photos haha
There we are! If you want to watch a video off this ride, check THIS out.
And look who I found! My good friend, Bernd. We went on this ride, it was pretty crazy – you do the ride once forwards and then you do it again backwards! Check THIS video out if you want to see it in action.
A long exposure of all the people and pigeons walking in the town centre of vienna.
And some instagrams as well (from top left and across): view from house in Graz, glass elevator, dirndl close-up, beer made of gummies, an inflatable ball you try to run in on the water haha, mark and i trying on lederhosen and dirndl, fountain in the city of Graz, homemade schnapps with a plum, willow tree and canoe by lake in Graz, pizza made of gummies, frozen yogurt (actually tasted like yogurt), hotel we stayed at in Croatia, view from hotel in Croatia, table decor, rainy day in Croatia, pillow design, old church, old church looking straight up, blue rock by the mediterranean sea, beach in Biograd, hotel menu, Biograd beach, hotel table cloth, trees by beach, Eva tuna (my mom’s name is Eva), chocolate pudding dessert, beach in Croatia, mish-mash drink, funky chair in hotel, pink phone at Croatian highway stop.
Okay well that was basically my trip! I hope you enjoyed looking through these many photos and if any of them tickled your fancy (that’s a weird saying haha), you can look at them HERE (you can see the panoramas better) and even buy one! Thanks for reading! 🙂
Love, Marie
Meet Tania & Neale (sort-of haha):
They like to paintball and had these masks custom-made! These two are so fun to be around – their laughter is infectious 🙂
I do an engaged couples questionnaire for all of my couples and these are some things I learned about Tania & Neale. They met in high school, but didn’t date – they remained friends for a long time beforehand. When asked “tell me something unique about yourselves” Neale said; “I can be classified as a nerd, jock, workaholic and couch potato” haha. Tania said; “I can entertain myself for hours (seriously!) by making weird noises and doing weird dances! :)” haha too funny!
Neale proposed to Tania one day in Grandforks at his father’s house. He just looked over at Tania and said “Want to marry me? and she said “Sure!” haha it was as simple as that.
I asked both Tania & Neale what they love most about each other. Neale said; “When she has a smile on her face, it makes me happy/improves my mood (ALWAYS!) and Tania said; “I always feel safe around him and I can be my true self (goofy and weird).” They are so sweet and I think you can really see their love and what they love most about each other through these photos that we took on a beautiful day at Queen Elizabeth Park.
OH and just so you know Tania is 4’11” and Neale is about 6’5″ haha
Too cute.
They brought a bubble machine!! I was so stoked haha.
Love this.
Cherry Blossoms!!!
I am pretty sure this is the biggest cherry blossom tree in Vancouver.
Their wedding date 🙂
Tania and Neale’s first date was at Death by Chocolate, they ate a piece of double chocolate cake together. So, we thought we would take our last few photos there to re-create that special day.
I included some “Behind the Scenes” photos from their engagement shoot:
Because their height difference was so great, Tania brought a stool and wore high heels so she could be closer to Neale’s height (she still was not as tall as he is though haha).
The bubbles attracted many children throughout the day including these two: “girl in pink” and “boy with stick.” You can’t actually see the boy haha just the stick on the right side of the photo. It was really funny! They were LOVING the bubbles haha
Thanks so much Tania and Neale, you two are adorable and I am so excited for your wedding in June! 🙂
BIG Thanks to my awesome assistant for the day; Kaylin Godin – I couldn’t have done this without you!

Beautiful couple and images!

RAD!
Yesterday I turned 21 years old. I still can’t believe that I was 20…haha the years seem to be flying by faster and faster! That probably sounds cliche, but it’s so true. I usually spend my birthday in Vancouver with a few friends and my immediate family, but this birthday was different.
Photo by Abbye Dahl (more photos from this day to come soon!)
I am in Austria with my parents and my brother. My brother and I decided that we should get some traditional Austrian clothing – lederhosen and dirndl. Where is there a better place to get them, right?! So, we picked out our favourites and got the whole outfit – shoes included! This is what we looked like:
I spent the night looking like this and it was awesome haha. We celebrated with chocolate cake (Danke Heidi!) the day before my birthday because I wanted to go out for dinner on the actual day.
On my birthday I got a lovely skype call from my blurry boyfriend! Thanks Chris! 🙂
The rest of the day I spent with amazing people and coincidentally a lot of daisy-related things haha. “Daisy” perfume, a daisy-chain bracelet, daisy-chain head-dress, and actual daisies in the garden!
My mom got me roses 🙂
Yes, that is an archway full of bread haha
After walking a bit around town and taking photos, we went out for dinner to a cute little restaurant with a killer view of Graz (Hauserl im Wald) and ate a special Salzburg dessert made mostly of egg-whites (it was good!).
My brother, me, and Carina (basically my older sister except that we aren’t actually related haha)
That was my birthday! Thank you SO much to everyone who made it so special! I still got to spend my birthday with family and friends, just in another country haha I am looking forward to this next year of my life and this next year of my photography business!
Lots of love, Marie
PS Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes and love on facebook!!
