Hi All!

I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday. The sun is shining and it’s SO warm out! This is crazy awesome weather for March in Vancouver.

It is also a crazy awesome day to give away two 50% off a portrait session cards!! My goal for these 2 cards was to get 350 likes on my facebook page for Marie Skerl Photography. So a BIG thank you to everyone who liked the page!!! You are all awesome and I basically love you  🙂

Just so we all know portrait sessions include; headshots, family photos, couples sessions, maternity sessions, and many more! Weddings are not included, but day after sessions are.

Anyway, let’s cut to the chase. Where did I hide these cards?!

My third card is hidden somewhere I have taken photos before and is a location often used to film one of my favourite tv shows; Once Upon A Time. The area is particularly known for it’s views of the water, sail boats, frozen yogurt and of course, fish n’ chips.

Here are some shots of card #3 and where it is placed, the first one to find it and contact me (my phone number is: 604 715 1236) gets 50% off their choice of portrait session!!

My fourth card is hidden in a place that means something to me. I have taken photos of the building before and of volleyball games and such inside the building. It is where I had my first photography class and began to fall in love with it – coincidentally I also fell in love with a boy who went to this school (oh you know it’s a school!) and we are still together after almost 4 years <3

Here are some photos of where I hid card #4, the first one to find it and contact me (my phone number is: 604 715 1236) gets 50% off their choice of portrait session!! The last card I hid was found 23 minutes after I posted the photos, so if you know where this is GO GO GO!!!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

If you still need some more hints, follow me on twitter HERE.

Please continue to like my facebook page as it will be the source of revealing my next card placement. After every “50″ likes I will hide a new card. I have 20 cards altogether. So, get liking, I need 400 for the next card to be hidden! THANKS SO MUCH!!

Lots of love, Marie

PS Both cards have been found now, thanks so much to everyone who participated!! 🙂

Hi there!

Just wanted to let everyone know I will be out of office from March 6th (tomorrow) until March 15th. Danielle Dobson and I, as well as thousands of other photographers, will be attending WPPI. It’s a a large wedding and portrait photography conference and expo held in Las Vegas. It will be our first times going – I’m excited and a little nervous, so wish us luck! I will try to reply to emails, facebook messages, etc. as often as I can.

And now, because no blog post can be without photos, here are a few photos the lovely Abbye Dahl took of Chris and I! Edited by myself. Thanks Abbye!

Love, Marie

Okay so there aren’t actually any burning cabbages in this family session…although that would make for an interesting shoot! This was a shoot I did for the Bernakevitch Family. Jill Bernakevitch was one of my teachers in high school and on the first day we met her she told the class that the best way to remember her name was to say it like “Burn A Cabbage” haha and it worked!

It was so nice to see her again with her two new additions to the family; Luke and Kate! Luke is 2 and Kate was just a few weeks old when we did this family session. We also had the whole Bernakevitch side of the family there and 2 dogs as well! It was so great to meet you all   🙂

What a lovely family  🙂

Aww Kate, she is even cute when she cries.so much love! haha! love this group shot.

  • Kathryn - Lovely photos, once again, lovely Marie 🙂
Jill was Cayla’s first PE teacher when we first came to RCS (Cayla was in grade 10) – and it was Jill’s first year. She actually got Cayla to like PE!
My 2 faves are the 4 of them with Kate crying (!)
and the bigger group shot where each couple/family is facing each other.

    Nicely done!ReplyCancel

  • Jill - Marie, you are so talented! We were just so impressed with the photos you took. Thank you so so much.ReplyCancel

Okay, I am finally getting to my next “Best of 2012” post, which is “Wedding Parties!” Shots of the wedding party are really fun. I have had wedding parties as small as 4 people and as large as 16 people! When I first heard I would be taking photos of a 16 person wedding party, I admit I was nervous, but they ended up being some of my favourite wedding party photos ever! Check them out:

Amy & Dan’s Wedding, see full post HERE. These next photos below are not from a wedding, but a stagette – which is wedding related so I thought I would share them here!
