Our Utah Wedding Reception!

Hey friends!

It’s been a long time since I have blogged, but some very exciting things happened in 2022! One big one being that Gavin & I were finally able to celebrate our marriage with a wedding reception in Utah!! We eloped in Iceland in November 2021, but because of covid restrictions our families and friends hadn’t been able to get together until September 2022.

I couldn’t have been more grateful to have my family and friends come from Canada (and California) to celebrate with us. We loved seeing our families meet in person for the first time. Friday night was our reception and the rest of the weekend we spent with friends in the Zion National Park area (more photos from that to come in a following post).

It was a lot of hard work planning the reception from another country, but with Gavin’s mom’s help and all our wonderful vendors and other family members and friends, it came together beautifully. From the maple syrup favours to the custom built arches over the tables to the photobooth bus to the heartfelt speeches and viewing of our Iceland elopement film on a big screen – so much thought went into this evening.

It was an incredible, fun and magical night that we will never forget. <3
