This wedding has taken me too long to blog, but here it is finally! My dear friend Kari and her wonderful Andre got married last October! 🙂
We shot their engagement session in the summer, you may view it HERE along with their super cute proposal story.
I couldn’t have been more excited for Kari on her wedding day! The ceremony was beautiful, I cried multiple times whilst taking photos. These two have such a sweet and genuine connection, you can just tell through the photos. We got some lovely photos at Deer Lake Park. I don’t have much else to say but how much I adore these two and wish them all the best in their marriage!

LOVE Andre’s reaction to his bride.
I am getting teary eyed just looking at these photos again.
Kari loves scrapbooking, so she made a scrapbook of her and Andre’s engagement session for people to sign as a guestbook.
Such a loving bunch of groomsmen!
And such a beautiful bunch of bridesmaids!
The guys took a moment to chase away the Canadian geese haha.
You can feel the love there 🙂
Aren’t they the cutest!?
It’s a brenizer!
And then magical light happened…eeeeee I was SO stoked.
After those beautiful portraits, its reception time!
Okay…so I debated putting this next photo in, but it’s too funny not to share. My family and Kari’s family have been friends since Kari and I were in elementary school together, so my family was invited to the wedding naturally. One of the games played at the reception was basically “Copy the Kiss,” all couples who were attending the wedding had their names put in a bowl and were randomly picked throughout the night. I think there was maybe 4-6 couples picked overall out of at least 70 couples I would say. Of all the names to draw, they drew my parents!! Kari and Andre had to copy their passionate kiss…and I took this photo without puking haha just kidding I love my parents! And I am so glad that after almost 25 years they are still in love! 🙂
Andre surprised Kari with a beautiful serenade of a song he wrote.
And they danced.
m - Hi Marie,
I love your pictures. I was wondering what type of lens you used to take those awesome shots.
I also wanted to tell you I love the way you lay out your pictures, it’s like your telling a story.
Great Work.
Ruth - What for a lovely wedding!!
marie - Thanks! I have quite a few lenses, for the full list check out my website under “marie” http://www.marieskerlphoto.com. That is exactly my aim – to tell the story of the day 🙂 Thanks again!
