Jordanna is sister of my dear friend and photographer; Danielle Dobson. Danielle inquired about me taking her sister’s wedding photos and I was honoured!
Jordanna and Scott are awesome! They met at a big summer party at a mutual friend’s house when they were in high school. Scott hunted Jordanna down on facebook soon after the party and asked her out on a date! Some fun facts about the two of them: Scott is obsessed with pasta and loves baseball caps (he owns a lot and made sure to get photos with a few of them during our session), Jordanna is a nurse and hates being tickled (I think I made Scott tickle her a few times during the session, oopsie :P). After years of dating, spending holidays in Mexico and enjoying each other’s time together, Scott knew Jordanna was the one. He proposed in March, 2013 along the Stanley Park seawall. So, we knew where we would start their session!
The engagement session was so fun!! It was way back in October on a beautiful sunny day in Vancouver.
SO adorable.
You got to love Vancouver’s city skyline.
Scott showing off some of his fave baseball caps in these photos haha. Jordanna used to play softball and they both like to play baseball, so we thought it would be cute to bring a baseball and mits for some shots.
This bench is where Scott proposed! As I remember from what they told me, Scott said something like “How much do you think I love you?” And Jordanna put her hands out and said “This much?” And then Scott put his hands out wider and said “This much!” and then proceeded to get on one knee with the ring in his hand and ask her to marry him!! So cute!!
After some photos at their proposal spot, we drove to the gorgeous Whytecliffe Park!! We got there just in time to catch some beautiful light, love this photo:
There were two lonely flowers placed in a little hole on this rock, Scott couldn’t resist:
So sweet 🙂
This was probably my favourite shot from their Vancouver engagement session:
Jordanna and Scott, thank you so much for hiring me to be your wedding photographer! I am SO excited for Saturday!!! <3
