Caitie & Clayton’s Delta Wedding

I had a great time shooting Caitlin and Clayton’s Wedding! It was on a hot, sunny August day and there was a lot of excitement and anticipation in the air. I got to shoot in my hometown; Ladner –  I literally drove about 30 seconds to Caitie’s house for the getting ready photos (we are basically neighbours). And I was excited to find some seriously neat places to shoot the portraits, not too far away from home. I might just have to go back there one day.

The things that stood out to me most from this wedding were; Caitie’s mom and sister both singing songs during the ceremony, when guests started blowing bubbles right before they walked down the aisle together and Caitie whispers to me “make sure to get the bubbles!” haha (and I did), getting Caitie’s veil to blow in the wind in front of that awesome barn, and the large amount of pink. Enjoy the photos!

And a BIG thank you to my lovely friend Abbye Dahl (Afoto Photography) who was my second shooter for the day! 🙂

Close – closer – SUPER CLOSE hehe gotta love the macro lens 🙂 WOWZA right? Absolutely gorgeous.
Mom’s are always the best at doing up their daughter’s wedding dress 🙂 Yeah…we did a jumping photo. And it was awesome! haha More bubbles!!So much love. There was a lot of pink at this wedding – right down to the double bubble pop flower wedding favours.
Caitie’s mom made the wedding cake.
Some very sweet speeches.

Caitie & Clayton’s first dance as husband and wife. They danced to the song “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not?” by Thompson Square.

Caitie’s favourite part of the day:
“My favorie part of the wedding was reciting the vows, and after signing the registry turning around and seeing all the bubbles flying and just how beautiful it all looked. Like nothing I can describe, and I will ever forget. Also, taking photos and just having tons of fun, like when Clayton and Mike both fell when we wanted to do the run!”
